Rostik will explore waltz, quadrilles, ecossaises, and mazurka as they were danced in the first half of the 19th century across central and eastern Europe. Some of these forms come from Dutch historical sources that you won’t find anywhere else. The main idea is simple: these were dances people did for fun, and that’s what we’ll do too (for historical accuracy).
Classes meet monthly on Sundays at On Count Dance Centre (Ceylonlaan 24, Utrecht), 13:00–16:00. The dates are:
27 September, 25 October, 15 November, 24 January, 28 February, 28 March, 25 April, 23 May, 27 June
